On Android, manufacturers like Xiaomi, Huawei, Samsung, and OnePlus aggressively kill background apps to save battery. Lunar Cycles cannot fire alarms when it has been killed by the OS.
Open the in-app banner that says “Battery optimization” and follow the instructions to whitelist Lunar Cycles, or do it manually in Settings → Apps → Lunar Cycles → Battery. Set it to “Unrestricted” or “No restrictions”.
If the alarm still misses, please email us with your device model, OS version, and the alarm configuration so we can reproduce.
On Android: long-press your home screen, choose “Widgets”, scroll to Lunar Cycles, and pick the size (2×2, 4×2, or 4×4). Drag it onto your home screen. The widget refreshes every 30 minutes and immediately when you open the app.
iOS widget support is in development.
Not in the current release. Export and cross-device backup are planned for a future version that may include optional cloud sync. Until then, your data is stored locally on the device where you installed the App.
Open the paywall (More → Premium) and tap “Restore Purchases”. The App will re-validate the entitlement with the store. Make sure you are signed in with the same Google or Apple ID you used when purchasing.

Lunar Cycles uses VSOP87 and ELP2000-derived models computed locally on your device. Accuracy is typically within one minute, which is more than enough for civilian and amateur-astronomy use. For professional navigation or research-grade timing, please use authoritative ephemerides such as JPL Horizons.
The current release ships in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. German, French, and Italian are planned for a future update.
No personal data is shared. Events, alarms, and location stay on your device. Anonymous analytics (screens viewed, actions taken) and crash diagnostics are sent to Firebase to help us improve the App. See the Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
Uninstalling Lunar Cycles removes the entire local database from your device. There is no server copy.
